I like to share with all of you the experience I get playing tournaments. Additionally, keep you informed about the last novelties that appear in them.

Train hard to prepare properly the tournaments. All the players are training also.

And I like to recommend the tournaments that combine chess with other activities where you can enjoy after the games and are well organized. If you’ve got suggestions also they will be welcomed!

Chess against cancer

Chess against cancer: A chess tournament against the childhood cancer

Every year, in December, my friend Borja Sanmartín and the ASPANOA Association (an association created against childhood cancer) organize a very famous tournament of chess against cancer to collect money to help in this fight. It's a tradition and a very good reason.

The tournament is really strong and many international and grandmasters play it. Although the most important part is to collaborate with this tournament to help the children that they need this help.

First Saturday – Chess: Closed tournaments

If in a previous article (read it here), I wrote about the interesting closed tournaments for FM, IM and GMs that they were organizing every month on Budapest.
